Stonehill Engineering was established in 1988, and is the precision engineering division of Encocam

STONEHILL ENGINEERING TIMELINE

1988

Encocam Ltd, the parent company of Stonehill Engineering is founded

2000

Encocam acquires a company with 25 years of engineering experience 

2008

A new site is purchased for all engineering and machining work and renamed Stonehill Engineering (SHE)

2011

Increased orders lead to the purchase of new machinery for precision engineering parts, increasing SHE’s output capacity by 25%

2014

SHE invests in a 5 Axis machine centre to support the Crash Test Dummy (ATD) work in the Cellbond division and to produce the complex parts required

2017

Further investment in 5 Axis CNC machine centres to enable increased capacity and meet the demand from Cellbond ATD, producing prototype and production parts

2018

SHE joins in the Encocam company 30-year Anniversary celebrations

2018

New Pro Milling centre replaces the old milling machine, specifically designed for high-performance machining applications

2018

SHE continues to support Cellbond ATD, manufacturing parts for the Q10 Dummy

2019

SHE welcomes HRH The Duke of Kent, KG to meet the Apprentices as part of his visit to Cellbond, the passive safety testing product division

2019

Dr Mike Ashmead, Founder and Chairman of Encocam receives an OBE (Officer of the Order of the British Empire) in the Queen’s Birthday Honours list

2020

Stonehill Engineering launches new website to showcase capabilities and experience and expands CNC facilities
